Alexander Graham Bell was so much more than the man who invented the telephone. We visited the museum in Baddeck Nova Scotia today and I was most impressed with what an amazing humane educator he was.
We learned about his inventions for air, land, sea and a huge contribution to the marginalized communities in the late 19th and early 20th century. He was all about inclusion in schooling. He was writing about the greenhouse effect over o 100 years ago and still we struggle as a collective to act.
We had no idea how much he worked with Helen Keller and influenced the deaf community to be able to communicate.
From the first flight in Canada to inventing a chest pump to save lives, Alexander Graham Bell was a great man with a mission to help his fellow humans.
I suggest reading more about him and his amazing wife Mabel.
