Who is Mike?

Inspiring and leading schools

through times of change and educational transformation.

I am a leader and change agent aiming to improve learning through deeper connections to the world around us. Through a true understanding of sustainability, skills to act upon this understanding and the motivation to create a better world, schools can be a place of engagement and grander purpose.

I have always struggled with schools claiming to prepare students for the "real world", they live in the real world and deserve an educational experience that allows them to follow their passions in a deep and meaningful way.

I love learning and aim to create and support organizations to foster learning in others, not just students, but all community members. School should not be in a community, school is community and community is school.

Educate and act for a sustainable future...

I lead workshops and deliver keynotes for teachers and administrators around the world on sustainability, global curriculum K-12 and how service learning should not just be what you do, but who you are as a school.
